There's a place behind what was the Esso garage on Nottingham Road in Mansfield, which does a good repair, at a cheap price.
The Esso garage is now Tesco Express, or will be, when it opens.

I think the tyres with the built-in rim protectors are the way to go.
Some cars have these as standard i have noticed.

Thanks for the info - I've driven by the (new) Tesco but can only see a tin shed behind it? Do you have a name for the company?

BTW the tyres do have a rim protector lip - unfortunately the impact was a bit too hard for it to cope frown

Amazing what you find tucked up in 'back streets'! Rolled up at lunch time and parked behind two other Elises! They'd also got a nice old Bently in the workshop!

Just awaiting a call with a price now smile

I know the guy there, quite well. He has done a fair few wheel 'curbs' for me.
Good value and often has interesting cars in for work.

Not yet - I want to change the colour to charcoal grey and he didn't have a colour chart and I haven't had time to get over to his paint supplier frown
