As the title says, just wondering who is interested in a spot of Karting.

Just the usual public track stuff using their karts, nothing professional (read: expensive!).

I'll organise it if needed. I'm open to circuit recommendations.

When a certain red Exige S owner sees this you'll have a 'professional' karter!

Have a look at Sutton Circuit (between J20 and J21 off the M1) www.suttoncircuit.co.uk

They have a great outdoor circuit (floodlit) and really friendly staff... and most importantly their karts are very evenly matched and in excellent condition!

No time, date or place in mind yet, other than soon and near the middle of the midlands!

I guess be democratic - cater for as many as possible.

That Sutton circuit looks pretty decent enough, cheap too. Usually you can expect about £45-£60 per head, and they are £40. smile

For £40 you get a 10 minute qualifying session, followed by two 15 minute races (the second one starts in the reverse order of how you finish the first one). Trophy for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, with beer for 1st and wine for the fastest lap of the day. All in all, pretty good value!

Only needs 9 people for a booking too. That could be well easy to get a mini PH championship together. Once a month? wink Lets try for this, unless loads of people want to go. Dunno what the max number of entrants are. 15 would be better.

PF International Karting Circuit is the best by far.

The maximum number of karts they will allow on the track is 10. I'm up for a mini PH Championship!

Well not really. £20 for 20 mins or they do Gran Prixs with hirable karts. Worked out as £85 for three hours racing.

This place is just up the road from me. Never been but flown over it and Centre Parcs a few times, looks quite good (albeit from 2K feet)

Nah, rule that one out then. Seems a bit small to me. I'm used to the 1400m circuit and twin engine karts at Daytona.

The problem with Daytona is that the karts feel 10 years old and the track is not in great condition. The layout is great though!

They bought some brand new ones about 6 months ago. tbh though I'm sick of Daytona. Been there way too many times, but it is the best track probably for a 30 mile radius... It's also the only Kart track I know of with contours!

You'd need at least 25 people for an exclusive booking too, but the Fiat Coupe forum plus some local mates of mine can easily make that up.

Do people prefer indoor or outdoor btw?

I prefer outdoor and hope for rain! biggrin
