What's in a name?

I've been lurking around in various fora and was amused by some of the names that people go by. Mine's rather unimaginative, however, anyone that's known me for years knows me as Bounce It's a name I've had since school days and mates still use it now some 30 odd years later.

Just wondering how some of you came by the names that you use?

Yup, many people have said that I look like a dog's dinner!

Mines because as a kid my dream car was a Reliant Robin.

When I saved up enough to purchase my dream I found the seating a bit cramped and on my test drive I couldn't get it to steer straight at 65 mph. My dreams were dashed and I had to make do with a four wheeled Reliant instead.

When a friend first saw my Caterham he referred to it as being Powderpuff blue..(it's Bugatti blue by the way)..the nickname stuck to the car...then me

"YAN" is a tag I use on most fora, but that was used up on here IIRC.

"YAN" is short for Akira Yanagawa who is still my fave World Superbike rider; about 7 stone dripping wet, looks like a librarian, but rode the frocking wheels off a Kawasaki ZX-7RR and was THE wheelie king!

I'm a computer geek and my moniker is my AS400 user ID (iSeries actually these days, showing my age there).

I stole my mates grafiti name of ShockWave and i found that it was used a bit around places and then came up with Shocker-z while using IRC (Ran IRC servers for 6-7 years) and it stuck from then on..
