Scalextric Night?
Discussion

In the pub last Tuesday, the idea was mooted that we could maybe have a Scalextric Night !.
The idea being that we all dig out our sets from the roof (or liberate them from the kids), set them up and have a evening of stupidity.
The questions are ….
• Would people be interested?
• Who has access to a scalextric?
• Can anyone suggest a pub/venue where we could host it, that has a large enough floor area to set up multiple sets, access to electricity and would not mind us making a noise?
I open it to the floor…….

since my scalextric in the 1980s, they have used two different trypes of tyrack which are not compatable, so you will need to settle on one type of track.
I did something similar for my 30th, and it was great fun. The Porsche 956 was the fastest, followed by Mansell in the Williams and the Police in the Rover SD1.

The company I work for has a Scalaxtric club. for a small fee a group of people can go and play on a scalaxtric that fills a sports hall (the le Mans circuit replica). Want me to find out more? IIRC they meet on a Tuesday too.

There's a pub in Loughborough called The Station Hotel that has this out the back
If it is of interest and you can't find the contact details PM me, a friend of mine arranged it last time we went.
Edited to say a bit more here: http://www.quornslotcarclub.co.uk/
