All set up for a excited five year old in the morning........... Enjoy folks.

Prof, my thoughts are with you, been an eventful year for us, got married in August, June my wife had a life saving operation 5000 miles away on our honeymoon and was given a 10% chance of pulling through, I also had to sign the consent forms, bit of a dilemma so far from home in a 3rd world country but no operation gave 0% chance. Well I'm home, she's home and whilst still not 100% she is moving in the right direction every day. This kept us out of the country for just short of seven weeks instead of two, so will maybe explain to a few of you my absence from blats & Tuesday tyre kicks since late summer.

Tomorrow I will cherish more than ever what I have around me remembering how close I came to having nothing and how those silly little delays, mishaps etc don't really figure in the big scheme of things.

Have a great time folks, Ive met some great people on here, enjoy life to the full its no dress rehearsal and this is your one and only shot.

Sincerely Jon.

Indeed, Jon.

As the old saying goes, "we're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time".

A saying i have.

It's years in the bank which matters, not zeros.

Surviving Cancer made me realise that we do, indeed, only get one go!

Ah! The joys of grown up children! My sons (18 and 20) are still asleep, Mrs B is sat in bed reading yesterday's Grauniad, and I'm sat here with a glass thinking good thoughts.
