The first monthly meet of 2008 is scheduled for 08/01/08 from 7-30pm at The Bear Inn Berkswell near Coventry. For any newcomers we usually have a PH logo on our table.

The Christmas meal was changed to a New year meal if people are interested.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

There is bound to be a lack of enthusiasm this time of year, but for 2008, I was wondering if it would be better to have meets every 2 weeks?

I have seen this tried before and the benefits are: -

i) More people come to the meets overall as they have more choice of when to go
ii) Increased regional momentum. Monthly meets can seem too far apart and enthusiasm/momentum is lost.
iii) No more confusion about dates; as there would be a meet every other week.
iv) With a choice of 2 meets it would be easier to arrange one as a roadtrip/event/meal.
v) We could try different venues.

The Derbyshire Midlands Group have meets every 2 weeks, Nothants/Kettering meet weekly.

What do you think?

After your interest in my iphone last time, I thought about my previous phone possibly being useful to you as it opens out to a full keyboard for SMS etc.

Chris is my reasoning correct then?

i.e. With bi-weekly meets it is easier to remember when a meeting is and with more choice the chances of being able to attend in any given month are better.

Yes for me it is anyway, so sure it would be the same for others

White Rabbit Racing. E36GUY organised the group Graeme went with and this year it has PH backing.

Coming tomorrow Piers?

Don't expect supercars in the car park or a massive turnout as it's winter,
but January is where it all starts and you'll be very welcome all the same.
