BG came round last weekend and amongst all the other bo
ocks we talked about, the merits of the CG Lock - it is, according to my learned friend, the best mod you can do to your car and worth at least 50 bhp. Taking all this with a large pinch of salt I ordered a couple.
Well, fitted mine today and went for a little play.

BG wasn't kidding. Once you're locked in it's nearly as good as a full harness and you can corner much faster - it's no longer your own limits but the cars that you can start exploring. And the good news is that my GTV handles quite nicely
Doesn't do your fuel economy much good though
Well worth every penny of the £45 it costs
If you haven't got one go buy one now - you won't regret it!

I've had one on the Furby for a couple of years, it is fantastic, and has definitely been a significant factor when i've been out doing the old David & Goliath routine.

4-points for the same money here.....
I'm sure you could find something to clamp the belt at the receiver for less than £50 too? Seems expensive to me.

The whole point of the CG Lock is that it requires no mods to the standard seatbelt arrangement - it just attaches to a standard buckle and can be removed in seconds. Adding a 4-point harness is a whole different kettle of fish.4-points for the same money here.....

The actual item itself isn't much, as FJ says, it's just a little clamp, in materials & manufacturing terms, it's peanuts. You look at the clamp and think blimey! £50 for that! But what it does is worth every penny.
I appreciate that you can get a proper harness, but that really is missing the point, I can't put a four point harness in a company car
