That hill off the A1 near Retford
Discussion
The Markham Moor junction turning off the A1 as though you are going to Lincoln is the one I'm talking about. It bends round to the right then as you go up hill it separates into two lanes allowing faster moving traffic to get passed.
Why is it that some people decide not to move over to the left hand lane when you are quite clearly in a faster car moving at a much quicker pace.
Today for example, I come off the A1, up the hill at a steady 60, not excessively fast and in front of me is a woman in a diesel A Class Mercedes traveling at 30 and playing with her
ing hair in the
ing mirror. She can quite blatantly see I'm behind her so I point to the left hand lane, nothing, I flash my lights, nothing! What the
do you think that lane is for!!
Anyone else have any stories about this or another particularly annoying stretch of road?

My heart drops when I see visits to Norfolk and surrounding areas in the diary.
I know for sure progress will be severely impeded by HGV's, tractors and 35mph grey rinses. I have no problem with the HGV's tractors etc they have a job of work to do, its when the 1st car or whatever behind them refuses to overtake them the problems start, it leaves to long an overtaking manoeuvre passing both them and the slower vehicle. Grrrrrrr
The trip over to Manchester from here can be frustrating too.

Ah yes. The road between Nottingham and Lincoln is very frustrating. I did that run twice last week. People just don't use their mirrors properly and are plain inconsiderate. It gets much better once you get past Newark I found. Respect to the guys in the Subaru who slipped into lane 1 to let me have my fun
