Hi there, I'm getting married in October this year & I'm just at the stage of looking for musicians or entertainment for the reception.

We want a solo acoustic guitarist who would hopefully sing (but no worries if not, or if he/she has a singer accompanying them) and a good band, maybe for the main entertainment. We don't like DJ sets/discos!

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Wedding is Shropshire/Worcs border & there would be 120 people there & very relaxed affair.

dont know of any solo guitar singers, but I went to a wedding a couple of years back, just a small evening get together after the service and they had a Neil Diamond impersonator. He was really good, and something totally different from your usual DJ disco entertainment.

if you type in 'wedding entertaiment' and search the net there are loads of different options and choices, even spotted a harp player & pianist somewhere.

Hi Hannah. Congrats etc!

I would highly highly recommend Doctor Bruce. Stupid name but they are awesome. Saw them play at the Rond Point in Meribel in February and they have an amazing range of music. They absolutely rocked the place!

Rich is the guy in charge. 0033 682 88 88 06. rich_uggs@hotmail.com

Please please please can you all stop emailing/PM-ing me. I don't want to talk about it. Suffice to say it wasn't very nice.

Thanks for your concern but I'd rather be talking about cars!! hehe
