Go to birmingham airport book a flight to Spain would be there in four hours.
Nah, go to California and seek out the best biking and driving roads in the world!

If you're going to get on a 'plane to go ridin'/drivin', do it properly!
There!

Frankly if we are going to the beach. Lets go to a beach we can take the cars on, near a race track. So I vote for Black Rock in north wales. Not far to Anglesey.

Anyone fancy a run out to the coast sometime in the summer? From the Midlands we could go East to Skegness, or a bit further North to Bridlington or Scarborough. Or how about West to North Wales?
Or we could fly to California and sit on a beach?Plus, you get fantastic driving roads, too.
It's why we go twice a year.
Huge apologies for such a silly suggestion, Johnny...why would i ever think that a car fanatic forum would be interested in the best roads in the world...as well as some great beaches!

Not a bad idea! The beaches in the UK are almost all crap, especially since we have basically lost the seasons. Decent seaside accomodation is expensive, too.
We have spent as much on our forthcoming week away in Cornwall, as we have done 3 weeks later on a week in Italy.

Good idea.Somewhere in the UK would be best. How about Whitby? Good roads out that way, too.
