Guy do any of you know a ferrari mechanic in the Derby area? possibly some one that could take a look at the car at my home?

I was driving this evening & changed from 2nd upto 3rd when crunch... I can no not engage gear unless the I pump the clutch pedal several times.. the pedal has lost some of its pressure & feels like some thing is broken?

Any ideas or some one I could call?

Thanks

Rod,

try phoneing Peter Higgins (01509889110), he's ex Graypaul and also ex Nick Cartwright. Tell him that Ross Thompson has gave you his details.

He's based in Loughborough but he's come out to see me before (in Nottingham).

You may have to wait until Monday though to get hold of him.

Your only other real specialists are Graypaul and Nick Cartwright, both will probably want a lot of £££'s for the 'out-call' though!

Sounds like a problem with the hydraulics. Could be a seal gone on the clutch slave cylinder. Have you checked the hydraulic fluid reservoir and/or checked under the car for leaking hydraulic fluid?

That explains why Judas was on about KY and losing limbs then - hope it's OK.

It's in for a major service = engine out, plus a rebuild of the diff and a new alarm system.

Overall assessment: eek
