Right the time has come for Mrs Will to buy a new car. She has her heart set on a new Jag XF. But having only ever driven a XJ220 I am not well up to speed with the Jag scene and muust admit I`m not a big Jag fan. Has anyone got one yet? Are they any good? Are they worth the money? She has a test drive booked in for Sep 29th, but thats a long way off so just looking for some advice from you lot.

I had a drive in an SV8. With toys it was around 54K IIRC. A good drive and pretty rapid but it didnt feel as good as an XJR and they arent all that much more expensive. The front styling didnt convince me either as its not recognizably Jaguar.

Lol, dont mock the Kia. Its outlasted all the Ferraris and Lambos put together.

So you would go for the XJR over it? She doesnt really want the Business Exec look she wants the stylish ladies car look. What about a new XK RS would you think that they are good for the money they are?

For me personaly yes I would have an XJR over the XF. I havent driven the new XK but the reviews look very good. Not a lot of room for a kid in the back though. Saying that I wouldnt buy a Jaguar new as the residuals are chronic. An XJR can lose 30K in its first year and I wouldnt expect the XF to be much diffrent.

I've just got my wife a XF last weekend and she loves it but she used to drive a Merc CLK. We have an 8 year old so the XK wasn't an option. Ive only been able to get the keys for 10 mins on saturday as she wants to drive all the time at the mo. I thought it was comfy and quiet and has some fun gadgets. She said she would recommend it.
