Membership of the S&DCC, who run the Curborough Sprint Course is open now for the year.

See: http://www.curborough.co.uk/sdccmship.htm

It gets you and a guest into all public meetings free and is cheap. Myself and some other PHers are members and it's a great venue - small and friendly and (normally) easy to park. There some really good events on:

NOTE: this is an expression of enthusiasm - not an advert - I just want some more of the Midlands PHers to go so I can meet them!

Presumably the current economic crisis has put the Kibosh on the proposed developments for a very long time?

Membership pending as the entry list for Loton Park gets less interesting year by year.

Anyway. I still owe Prof a tenner......

We (members of the 106 Rallye Register) held a trackday there last year, just before it closed for winter, it was a great day (my first trackday) and everyone had a cracking time. We're hoping to organise a few more so I could let you guys know if you fancy popping down, or even coming on track, it was only about £30 each for a 9-5 open pit lane. Great little circuit smile

If you join can you still hire the venue privately ?

If so how much is it now for a weekday

I used to go regularly with a mate of a mate.

I think it worked out about £35ea for 10 or so cars.

You've got no excuse then, see you on the 22nd March. Club sprint, it will be a full entry.

PS I'm in Burton too.

I thought all the Curborough events were free to spectators anyway?..... maybe I've just been lucky!

(gladly pay to keep the venue open)

I like the idea of a trackday.... anyone going to sort this out?

I'm in.

Quite a number of the "big" events - VSCC, AMOC etc - do charge £5 or more.
