Every pub seems to have it's good and not so good points.

THe best allrounder IMO seems to be the one at Starkholmes, nice inside, good car park (can't remember any speed bumps in the car park there either as there are in two that are close to me). For atmosphere though it has to be the Poets, though if this is the popular choice then i must make a note to wear summer clothes!!!!

There is a pub on Matlock road (A615) in Wessington. I think it is the Plough? Can't get the link on google to work but it looks like a nice country pub and has a decent car park. Might be quieter than the greyhound and is close to the Amber/Peacock area.

Could be worth a go? I can find out what it is called!

I wont be able to make tomorrow as I had a knee operation last wednesday so cant drive at present boo hoo, and Andy is going to watch football mumble grumble so he cant take me. You will have to post your comments about the new pub

Yes Andy you are indeed looking at the Horse and Jockey at Wessington, DE55 6DW, 01773 833197.
There is a pub called the Plough further along that road.
