White Van Man Required!

I need to hire a van to move down to London. I am moving into temporary accommodation so won't be taking that much, but will be taking a couple of tables and a cabinet. I was thinking that a man with a van might be the answer rather than me hire a van and drive it myself (I'd like to not have to come back to Nottingham to pick up my car after the move.)

Any recommendations for firms local to Nottingham or even London (East End) as that is where I am going?

If you don't get a man and a van, I'm sure there will be plenty of volunteers, we can hire one, run you and your stuff down to the smoke, then bring the van back and drop it off.

You star Warren! The plan is to move my big stuff down (not that big as it is a bedsit) on Sunday 19th April. Basically a computer desk, small kitchen table, two chairs, computer, printer and office type stuff. Nothing too heavy. I'm moving kitchen stuff and clothes down next week in the car. Also a few bits of art to jolly the place up a little

I'm going to call a few van hire companies tomorrow as well as speak with friend in London.

The plan is to leave Nottingham for Leyton, East London around 11:00/12:00 on Sunday 19th April. I'll let you know about payment.

Right! Having spoken with Hertz I am going to change my plans and hire a van mid-week and drive down myself, bringing the van back to Nottingham later in the week. They are very cheap for van hire.
