New Toy to go racing in 2010
Discussion
Here is my new Toy, a 1991 MR2 G-Limited TBar purchased for £500

The plan is to race her in the Future Classics championship (Part of classic sports car club)next year. Failing that she will be in the MR2 Championship but the future classics is better value for money i.e. more laps, more races and you can share the car!
So plans for this year are:
-Get my National B licence by completing my ARDS
-Replace gearbox as it has the usual early Mk2 MR2 slow synchro on second gear (fine when it warms up, but nethertheless for racing In want a strong box)
-Roll Cage
-Racing Seat
-Plumbed in extinguisher
-Strip the interior and install racing seat
-fabricate aluminium panels in place of glass on roof (MSA requirement). I will drive the car with no panels when its hot but dont fancy it when its raining.
-Save some £££££
I will keep you posted on developments.
