Yes, it was a blown fuse which we found after a bit of searching.

It didn't break down ... It failed to proceed.

The computer decided it was behaviour "unbecoming of a rover" and promptly activated "don't be so silly" mode by blowing a fuse which shut down everything (including the power steering)midway through a corner.

Initially thought it was the inertia switch, but was resolved with a 15 amp fuse.

It's just attention seeking
