Just like to say hello to everyone in the area. I have joined in the threads in general gassing and so on and thought it would be nice to meet and hopefully join in with some 'goings on' in my area. I have an S2 Elise, X-type Jag and fourbies. My OH quite fancies a kit car to gad about in so I dare say one will come along soon. Finefettlefilly.

Hi All, thanks for your welcome. I live in Warwickshire 5 miles outside of Coventry between Fillongley and Meriden. I'll try to get some pics but I'll have to wait until OH can work the camera as it's so technical I don't even want to touch it as I'll get the blame for breaking it that's why I like the Elise, simplicity! OMG that comment makes me sound like my mother! I would love to come to some of the meets so will keep my eyes open for the postings. FFF

Welcome to the area (even though I'm technically a foreigner). If your OH wants to have a ride out in a bike engine 7, I'll be there in mine next month.

Cheers, I'm sure he would love a go if he can fit in as he's a big fella. That said he does manage to squeeze into the Elise. He really does fancy a nice kit car but it's going to have to be something that he's got some room in, so not really being familiar with the different types, only what we viewed at the Stoneliegh kit car show, has anyone in the know got any suggestions? You and your OH are in the right place. I have built a Westfield and helped build a Robin Hood and Cobra. ViperNick has an Ultima Can Am.

Stoneleigh is very tempting every year...

I had a go in the Westfield and really enjoyed it at Stoneliegh. So many different shapes and sizes, quite taken to the AC Cobra especially the ones with the Viper stripes, then I saw a Merlin I liked, oh if only I could win the Euro millions then I could have one of everything and afford to build an estate of garages to house them all and enjoy my days just admiring and polishing them. Keep dreaming I suppose!

It depends what kind of car he's after. My 7 has been called a 4 wheeled motorbike. For some it's too extreme, for me it's just right for now. Others prefer the Cobras, although they are generally much more money. That's part of the appeal of kit cars. So much choice and so many budgets can be catered for.
