50 limit

went out for an evening cruise tonight away from my usual country lane routes which are 50..gggrrr.., but them bloomin' 50's are absolutly everywhere, crazy stuff even though here's hardly any traffic on them at all

did come across a 'proposed 50 limit' sign, out of Fillongley crossroads heading towards Meriden, with a telephone number on it. Its a nice narrow twisty, up/down road, probably already doomed

That's (supposedly ) just A & B roads - go looking for some C roads -fillongly -Maxstoke -Meriden( GREEN LANE ? at top of hill out of Fillongly) road is one that springs to mind -nice bit of road - then there's Wolvey to Watling street -another nice one - was NSL last time I did it , only marred by the Magna shift traffic .

50mph speed limits all round me now whichever direction I head out of the lane.

Just as well my TVR is up for sale as it's really spoilt driving it now as it hates sitting at 50

In Warks (at least) can I nominate the county officer who went against police advice -keep them away from any more ideas about idiotic limits ( if they live that long).From conversationswith one/two county councillors ,they'd love the chance too

Our wonderful governement currently has a proposal to reduce the NSL on single carraigeway roads to 50 mph. That will be blanket across the whole country.

I have written to my mp about this and have urged others to do the same. It is a sledgehammer to crack a nut and must be stopped.
