Curborough sprint August 16th
Discussion
Hi Chaps,
the RSSOC are having their annual sprint at Curborough on sunday august 16th. Its a double lapper and will see a load of Scimitars, Ferraris, TVRs (blackpool scimitars
) and TRs etc etc.
Its usually a very well supported spectator event as the club hire the venue for 4 or 5 days and have their annual sporting weekend there. Autojumble, concours, big marquee with traders etc, loads of 'park 'n' pose, but they do charge an admission fee unusually for Curborough.
All in all, good days motorsport.
actually theres a scimitar saturday morning test session and afternoon autotest too if that grabs you.

Yes its open to all, just as i say pay on the gate. Theres some info on scimitarweb.com forum section 'Car shows' if i remember correctly.
Does tend to appeal to spectators as its cars most can relate to rather than a herd of Loacterfields or single seaters which Joe Public have trouble working out that they are actually different! Fezzas always put on a good show, although often get beaten by the 'racing snake' scimitars lol. Some properly quick cars too.
If ya into old plastic brit cars (scims, Tivs etc) its not a bad way to spend an afternoon.
Scimitars then appear at Loton Park nr Shrewsbury the following weekend (22nd August) to continue their championship battles.
Lotons a lovely hillclimb, the longest in England, and has a good bar ;-)
