welcome indeed. Not a million miles away from Hinckley is the village of Ashby Folville, just north of Leicester (M69, m1 for a tiny bit, A46 then off). In the suimmer it holds large, free meetings for pertty much anything: bikes, 1908 grand prix racing cars, steam engines, pimp'd P/T cruiser. You name it, it its loved its there.

Goolgle image "Ashby folville" and you'll get a taste of what to expect. You'll also be amazed how close everything is from here: mallory, donington, Silverstone, rockingham. Museums at Gaydon, coventry, Bike museum. Aircraft museums at Bruntingthorpe and Cosford. You're also very close to MIRA- if you're lucky, you'll see next years car undergoing testing around there- the spy shots shown in the magazines, for example.

And Hinckley is close to the new home of Noble, and Ultima are based around here too.

Nearest PH meeting to Hinckley is the South Midlands one near Leamington Spa. The East Midlands meetings are about an hours drive away. The best car meeting in Leicestershire is Ashby Folville but that really only happens between April and September.

I know, it's great aint it. The missus currently lives about 10 minutes from Mallory Park and where I'm going to be living as a kick off is a mile away rofl

I was invited to do some shots for the TVRCC at MIRA last year, but couldn't make it so I will be putting my name forward with Mr Cox to try and gain access to the facility.

The Cosford and Brunters musems interest me as does Gaydon

Hmmm new home of Noble...wonder if there's any jobs going biggrin

Dont forget Norton at Donington. And Bruntingthorpe- a lot of vehicle launches are done there...

Then Jaguar at the old Spitfire factory at Castle Bromwich, BMW at Hams Hall, and then there;s the racing teams based around here.

As I keep telling you Scotteh. 'Tis great down here. wink

Being in the midlands you're not too far from the following either: Curborough, Shelsey Walsh, Loton Park, Oulton park, Prescott and a few others I can't think of at the moment....

Oulton Park boyo???

I'm closer to Oulton now than I will be in Hinckley hehe

Still, hillclimbing shizzle aside: I've got Oulton, Cadwell, Mallory, Silverstone, Donington, Santa Pod and Shakespear County (and Rockingham???) all within 100miles so it aint bad

I only went to Croft once when living up in Leeds so I wont miss it...tis crap for spectators anyway wink
