Held at 5.30pm, at the learning and career development centre, Gate 5A, Wilmore Road, Derby.

All welcome - Free admission - Heritage exhibition open 1 hour beforehand.
Next one is on Wednesday 3rd February - Flight testing Concorde.

And one I'm really looking forward too is on Wednesday 21st April - The story of the Rolls Royce (and Bentley) V8 car engine, by Dr Ulrich Eichorn, Director of engineering, Bentley Motors Limited.

Do you know if booking is needed? I can't seem to find mention of either of those on the website.

yes

I'm going to go the the Concorde one, to see how it's done, and in readiness for the V8 one. Hopefully park the car outside the door for that, seeing as it's the lump in question.

Is it the concorde engine or the whole plane? Is it a lecture about the flight testing?

Sounds epic. Might have to make the trip over.

Dammit, I will be there for the first half hour, I can always nip back to work for this darn meeting then pile back to the lecture if it is still on...

Not just me that found the website fairly useless then...Theres an inagural lecture that night at Loughborough uni which I'm going to head along to instead something about "seeing the unseen" which sounds interesting though maybe less fun...but also nearer to me.
