M1 `Roadworks` @ 50 ....

Rare visit south for me down the M1 - what seems like 20 miles of 50mph with the cameras - about 4 fluorescent yellow blokes wandering aound wiping down new road signs..........
How long have you had to put up with this??

2/3 years thats been there, it will hopefully be gone soon but the gantrys have space for more scameras no doubt to be linked to a variable speed limit.

Yep what a pain, i cover the North West as part of my job and they are simply a royal pain in the arse - albeit good for my mpg lol

Good grief - 2+yrs! It felt like a month just going through it ...............

I drive through at least twice a day, I deliver cars out of shepshed just of junction 23, they reckon there gonna be gone by autumn time, but what annoys me most is the fact that it looks like most of it is finished already yet they won't open it up!!

Its so mind numbing going through at 50mph, I often wonder how many people they've actually caught out though, and just how far above 50 do you have to average to get caught??
