Can anyone recommend anywhere, ideally Solihull or Coventry, but happy to try Bham, Warwick, Leamington etc.

Had my fingers burnt in the past picking traders just from Yellow Pages and the internet, so would prefer a tried and trusted recommendation!

Got an electrical drain that is driving me mad - tried all the obvious things, but not getting anywhere, and getting extremely frustrated...

Thanks!

Not a million miles away is Goodwins Autos.

They came recommended to me by several people and sorted out a real headache I had with my old Corrado. Used them again a few years later and they were just as good.

ETA - seems google won't link direct so just click D on the page that comes up.

Top stuff, thanks folks.

I did a quick search on here of the ones you recommended, and Stockfield Road came up as Midland Car Electrics a couple of times, so I don't know if it's just changed its name, or changed hands?

Will definitely use one of them this week to get my car checked out, cheers!

I've used these in the past once or twice and my experience wasn't good. They bodged a repair which resulted in a near fire in a fibreglass car (saw smoke and investigated). Problem resolved by myself in the end. They know how to charge too.

sounds like good info

and a bad experience frown

I won't tell anyone about them again then

The people I took there seemed happy enough, so maybe after such a time they have taken a quality dive, st happens doesnt it?
