Curry and chat, poppadums and postulation, vindaloo and vitriol, daal and debate or even bhajis and bo11ocks

Sound tempting?

By popular demand (Warren) another meet up for an informal curry and general pontificate on Tues 21st September at Jeera in Condor

http://jeera.net/default.aspx

This is what I would call a mid price, unpretentious restaurant i.e. mains at £6-£10 and you can wear trainers (if your conscience allows)

There is a large car park opposite, I have never had any problems parking there and the owner of the restaurant frequently leaves Porsches and the like there with no issues, BUT the general public have access to it (and the public can be very general in Condor) so maybe best to leave the exotica at home if you are a worrier.

Also a most excellent real ale pub opposite for those who fancy a brew before /after

WARNING
If coming in from M1 J26 / Nottingham on the A610 there is a particularly nasty Speed Camera as you come up the hill into Codnor

It is a sneaky 30 zone so be warned

Names on a list so that I can get an idea of interest appreciated

wont be able to make it as we cant get a baby sitter - and I dont think I want to risk the nappies after giving an 11mth old curry - however I can recommend Jeera, very nice food - although sometimes not as spicy as you would expect - and the Poet & Castle opposite does very fine real ales, and cask ciders and often have excellent beer festivals too smile

'The Midlands' covers a big area, as does 'The North' and 'The South'.

There's usually something happening in your part of 'The Midlands' though, there are lots of Warwickshire PH'ers.

OK - Pub from 19:00 (first in, grab a big table, try and avoid the carpetted areas as they are "family tolerant")

Then we have a choice between nipping over the road and eating in Jeera, or having the Curry delivered to the pub !

Pub details below:

Ridiculous. I think we need another name-for-a-bit-of-the-country there somewhere.

I'd sooner eat in Jeera, than in a pub. (but not on my own biggrin )

+1 for eating at the curry house. I won't be there until around 8ish.

Thanks for a good night, great food, and company.

Also thanks to Warren, who, in the absence of the proffesor, gave us a lecture on the history of the South Korean economy.

Two memorable lines from Warren .....

Least likely to get a positive response:

"Have any of you ever read in detail the technical specs of a forklift truck?"

Campest:

"I can't even look at a bread roll without putting on weight"

Thanks folks for a very enjoyable evening. I enjoyed the "Poet & Castle", a take-away evening in there would be great.
