Hello

I am looking for a good alloy repair company in the derby area. I managed to scuff mine this morning on a curb which to be honest I gave quite a good whallop.

Can anyone recommend someone decent, I dont mind paying a bit either.

Cheers

Used Advanced Autobody in Derby previously to refurbish a set of alloys, did a top job. Very friendly and easy on the wallet too!

Thanks. I'll give them a call.

Can anyone who has had this done confirm how they effect repairs? I was run off the road by a bus and severely scraped the rims of my nearside wheels against a kerb. I would imagine a wheel repair would only involve sanding the affected area down and re-powdercoated but this would probably leave my wheels looking different (the amount of metal lost on one is noticable). I don't suppose anyone actually builds-up the effected area?

I doubt it'd make a difference to the strength of the wheels though. I'm just annoyed because the wheels that are damaged were brand spanking new only a couple of months before the bus aimed himself at me. I'd broken the originals on a pothole the size of a meteor crater on the approach to Dickens Heath.
