Please recommend me a decent, trustworthy garage in Nottm!

Hi PHers.

Normally I post on these forums to debate the finer points of cars I will never ever own but today I need your help in recommending me a good and trustworthy garage in the centre of Nottingham - closer to Sherwood the better.

I have a 2001 Peugeot 306 HDI which is a total shed but it serves me well. I get it MOT'd and serviced by a friend of my Mums in darkest East Anglia but I'm stuck for places to take it when something goes drastically wrong and it needs towing in. This doesn't happen too often but twice in the last few years it's failed on me and when stuck for a place to get the AA to tow it to (sometimes after working hours) it ends up going to Nationwide because I know a) they'll have room and b) I'll be able to dump it there overnight. They then do a couple of small repairs to it that come to more than the value of the car and I'm left feeling a bit like I just dropped the proverbial prison soap.

So come on, tell me where I should be taking the Pug to...

I used to know him, about 25 years ago. He was a nice chap then, I suppose he still is now. We were in Rotaract together.

I often double take at some of the interesting cars they have in there so have always assumed they specialise in relatively exotic stuff and would therefore be expensive?

Nottingham auto services in colwick just off the loop road, very friendly and professional. Run by my friends dad "steve" they MOT all my cars and look after my mums now as well who even said it's the first garage she's been to and not felt intimidated.
