As is becoming predictable, we're going to do a little run down the fun roads (no motorways thank you!), from Redditch to Oxford, for upcoming Sunday Service.

Usual start point will be the Tesco petrol station in Redditch and we'll head off from there. Gates open at 9am and if it's anything like the Silverstone SS, it'll be worth getting there for about 8:30, so as to not be queuing for ages. That'll probably mean leaving Tesco at around 7:15, but I'll confirm that nearer the time. Confirmed! 7:15 departure on the dot

I've not worked out the route yet, but looking at the map, something that goes via Fish Hill looks appealing wink I'll finalise the route over the next week or so and usual Sat Nav rules apply. Route finalised, we will indeed travel via Fish Hill. If you have a TomTom with ITN Planning enabled and want the maps, pls e-mail me directly

Click here for PH Event Instructions. If you're name isn't already on the list, you're not going to get in until later in the day. As such, pls only sign up for the run if you've got a spot, or you're a passenger with someone who's got a spot.

If you're on the list, local to The 'Ditch and fancy an early morning strop down the A & B roads, add your name below and we'll see you soon.

Cheers Aidan, I've added you to the list. Between your missus and Baby 356, this is becoming a bit of a family day out biggrin

Fish Hill is good. Lots of boring 50mph speed limits from Chipping Norton to Oxford on the main A roads,, and from Moreton in Marsh to Chipping Norton. Driving to Oxford is much less fun than it used to be!

I live about 6 miles from fish hill smile I have been known to spend an afternoon going up and down. My aim was to maximise my exit speed from the top corner (all within legal limits of course). Its amazing the difference changing your line can make. They should close that hill once a year and use it as a hillclimb venue.

Fish Hill, Stow and then down to Burford and Witney onto Oxford gives you a decent mix of A roads and a section of dual carriageway on the A40 if required.

Might be an idea....

Yeah I'd agree, you can make good progress along the A424 to Stow and then Burford.

That's pretty much what my TomTom ITN file for Cotsold hooning shows wink I think that's the route mostly sorted!

If you are going the Fish Hill route, can I join the end of the convoy please? I just need to know approximately what time you will get there.

Will you go through Broadway or along the Bypass?

Cheers

Nick,

We'll be on the by-pass from Evesham. Just need to watch out for the damp patches up Fish Hill from tree cover.

As for time, we'll need to work that out!

Hi Guys,

I have signed up to be added to the event too.

I am late to the party though, as I forgot all about it with other things going on, including my Dads Funeral Yesterday.

My number is 708, so just wondered if that meant I could still join you guys for the trip down from Redditch.

I am planning to come in my 997 Targa, I think the weather will keep the R500 in the garage that day!!.

Would be nice to meet up for a run with some local midlands pistonheads too!!

Cheers,

Nige.

List updated with the latest names. Looks like a good bunch of cars on the line, Tesco's Redditch is going to need a bigger forecourt!

(TVR) Nick - Be great to have you join us. Would it work for you to join the convoy as we pass by Listers on the A44? Or is there somewhere else along that road before Fish Hill (I assume you want to join us before going up there!), that works better for you? Given the size of the group, I don't think we'd be able to safely stop, but as we come past you could filter in wink

I will lurk in a layby somewhere on the A44 and filter/join the end of the convoy. Listers is a bit far in the wrong direction for me but I may go that way just to give the car more chance to warm up.

All I need is an approximate time. If I miss you all I will them make my own way there using a similar route.

Cheers

OK Nick. If we leave Redditch on time @ 7:15, we would be passing Listers around 7:35-7:40 I reckon. I'll finalise the route and confirm the final timings over the next few days smile
