It's actually in Wymeswold. This is the circuit's own website http://www.f1k.co.uk/east-midlands/track-info/

Ooops Sorry! Looks very similar!

I'm interested in this and could probably drag a couple of mates along.

I'm up for Kurburgring instead. A mate from round here has done it before and says it's good. Last time we went to Langar there was condensation on the track and it was great fun sliding around and very challenging.

The more people the better as it should be more competitive then.

In terms of dates, would people be up for doing it one evening on a weekday?

If you are heading to the track with the picture in your opening post beware. I've been, and there is a fair bit of disparity between the performance of the Karts. A lot of money to spend if you end up behind the wheel of a mobile chicane (like I did)

Last time I went (a few weeks ago) we all swapped karts for a second session. The times were all the same distance apart with the people showing that driver skill is a bigger factor.

I'm up for Kurburgring though...

Take on that on board, but when you are driving around the circuit one handed because you are going so slow... and then you get overtaken by a mate who weighs in around 10 stone heavier than you, skill ain't got anything to do with it. The kart I had was a dog.

Another thumbs up for Kurburgring - but watch the timer as it's not always accurate and cost me a race win despite having lapped everyone at least once! smile

Well we went to Kurburgring last night and I've got to say that it was the worst track I've ever been to in my life and run appallingly. I really would say to anyone who wants to go karting not to go as it's totally overpriced. Two people stopped within a few laps as their karts were gash. Most people got out very disappointed with it. They even made two of my mates pay £5 more than anyone else for no reason.

Sorry to hear this! We took all our staff there in the summer and had a great time, it was really professionally run - I was going to book again but I'm not so sure after your experience. Were you running the larger karts?

I have been once with mates (all experianced) and had two 15min sessions.

If they removed the twisty bends and made it a flowing track (but still technical) it would get my vote but after the carosel it was a slow, near impossible to overtake and damn pointless. Also the karts were very different (we swapped for the second session).

A very good settup ruined by an overly technical track.
