Birmingham this weekend
Discussion
I'm going to be SW of the city for a few days (I'm looking after a house/dog, after the pre-booked house sitter cancelled last minute)
anything on in the area?
I'm looking forward to one of the local dishes on Saturday night, I've not had a proper Curry in a while
Edit to add....I'm up there for the next three weekends NOT just this one

Have a nose at live Brum for pretty much every event that's going on in the city.
If none of that grabs you then I'd recommend eating at Teknaf then a cab up to Harborne, start at the Junction then work your way down.
If you need any advice about moving to South of the city let me know, I've been over this side for about ten years now.

thanks Babu (is that you from XBL?) If none of that grabs you then I'd recommend eating at Teknaf then a cab up to Harborne, start at the Junction then work your way down.

thanks for the link (live brum) will look at it from home at lunchtime as it won't open on the work server
my sister already moved to the area in the summer...nice area actually

tons of Indian restaurants in the area (I'll probably go to the one I know that we usually go to with my sister, her husband and the inlaws. but thanks for the suggestion...I'll make a note of it and give it a try with them sometime..where EXACTLY is that one? I couldn't see a location on their website)

Yup, it's me from XBL. Have mainly been playing cowboys lately though
Teknaf is at the Hagley Road end of Bearwood High Street, so if you're coming into city off Jct3 M5 -from the south- it's on that route.
Saffron which is just off Jct2 M5 is another one well worth a visit. Surroundings are a f
king dump but the restaurant is nice and the food is a cut above.

any recommendations for a good cooked breakfast (tomorrow, and up here again for the next two weekends) . . . I Don't fancy a McBREAKFAST again lol
Halesowen, stourbridge or kiddi areas preferable.
Thanks in advance
Wetherspoons ticks some of these boxes (maybe not the "good" one though). Open at 7amHalesowen, stourbridge or kiddi areas preferable.

For your next visit, I can recommend the Park Lane Tavern in Halesowen (B26 2NT) They do an all you can eat brekkie for £3.95. Nice food and the obvious added bonus of all you can eat!Halesowen, stourbridge or kiddi areas preferable.

Blade, are you going to the tunnel run next weekend?thanks for the recommendation

IF I can get out of bed early enough
I had every intention of joining the guys yesterday to take a few pictures (my car isn't really suited to the act of tunnel running
) but I slept through the alarm...so that was that
I'm not very good at early starts on the weekend

There should be enough passenger seats IF I can get out of bed early enough
