M1 traffic on Good Friday (J22 - J29 Northbound)

I'll be traveling north this Friday around 5pm. I usually avoid the M1 as it is terrible on a Friday late afternoon / early evening.
Anyone know what traffic volumes are likely to be like this Friday being Good Friday? I normally avoid the M1 and A38 altogether, though not sure if it will be quieter being a Bank Holiday. Surely all the holiday traveling types will be out of the way by then?
Or should I just go my tortuous A road route as I normally do on a Friday?
