After a little favour to avoid a new car/garage issue... If any Mansfield based 996 owners fancy doing a potential owner a big favour and seeing if the car fits.....and they can get out of it it would be greatly appreciated!
A quick googling shows a 996 to be 1765mm wide. My Boxster is apparently 15mm wider at 1780mm but I'm pretty sure they share the same doors with the 996. So, if all else fails, I can nip over with the hairdresser's car and you can try that if you want.
That would be great....when are you free? Google also says a Chinaera is 100mm wider but no substitute for putting it between the walls and making sure I can squeeze my lard out.
