Does any know of a good Litigation Solicitor in the Bristol area?

A colleague has had their car returned from a garage with £1000s worth of faults & missing parts which the garage are refusing to put right, so they now need to involve a solicitor to try and get the car back into a road worthy condition.

my experiance of solicitors it would be cheaper to spend the money at a decent garage and fix the car. (no trust in justice frown )

They don't have the money to be able to repair it. Current bill is sitting at almost £3k for a service which was under 300 in the first place and the car is currently only just driveable in 1st & 2nd gear.

DAC Beachcroft have a well respected litigation department and an office in Bristol. But they are a second tier law firm ie in the top 20, so could be costly. Having said that, I use them for property and projects, funding and tax and they are competitive.

If they are on a budget is it worth trying the county court route, IIRC the upper limit is £5000. Online forms cost is about £35.00 and you represent yourself.

Might be worth a look.
