Nice restaurant in Bristol

Hi all

My anniversary is next month and I was hoping to take the Managing Director Domestic to a nice restaurant.
I've kinda done Hotel du vin to death so please recommend me a nice alternative. Cost or theme not too important, but nothing with flourescent lighting! :-)

Try Flinty Red in Cotham, just off Whiteladies Road. Excellent food & drink, relaxed atmosphere.

Wilks Restaurant on Chandos Road is very good. Took the better half there for her birthday last year, excellent food, pleasant atmosphere, quite relaxed.

Al Bacio is pretty good near the Old Habitat building in Clifton ,Manager used to be at San Carlo which in itself is quite a buzzy place and good Italian food

We went to The Rummer last year for our anniversary.

Good food, quiet, friendly service.

Spent more on wine than food.
