Roadworks on Clifton Downs

Does anyone know what is going on up there now? They've closed one lane and the traffic is as a consequence stacked down Bridge Valley Road.

Do you mean the road across from Bridge Valley to the top of Whiteladies? There was nothing there at 7.40 this morning when I came through.

That's the one. Solid at 8.30.

Not sure, but the boards at Blackboy Hill state major roadworks for 3 weeks.

So there's a lane closed approaching the big junction at the top of Whiteladies from Bridge valley this morning, but it is causing no delays at all at 7.50am.

Weird it got so bad by 8.30.

I came through today at about 7.55 and it was fine. I think it grinds to halt when the students start wandering over the zebra crossing. Or maybe yesterday was recycling-truck day.
