The rajpoot is awesome, but (and here's where I stick my foot in it!) it's not really a venue for lads to go after a few beers, it's a bit more formal than most curry houses. There is a more suitable curry house above ground (the rajpoot is in a cellar underground) but I've not been there. Another consideration is the parking. The nearest car park is waitrose underground (although I'm not sure if it's open late at night) and on street parking is pretty scarce around there.

I'm not sure it's suitable for a PH night out, but I'd definitely recommend the rajpoot for smaller groups or couples.

What, you with your posh omega watch!? No, of course you are suitable material m'Lord!! (see, I knew someone would get upset!)

I don't think they do big tables. From memory they have tables set in the recesses of the cellar and they don't really encourage large groups of lads, if you see what I mean! wink

What she means is it's a "restaurant" where you take your other half or go for a quiet evening to savour quality food and service. A "curry house" is where you go with your mates. Miss P is showing her good upbringing.

Given the current weather we had better make it later rather than sooner in January......unless of course you all fancy a trip to Gloucester for a curry?

Thursdays are always good as it doesn't clash with the footy......not that there is currently any footy 'cos of the weather!

Bill, Oz was a lot warmer than here........we had a brilliant time and will happily bore you with the stories at the next curry night......so you might want to sit at the other end of the table!

High time I made a reappearance at one of these. By the way, there's an excellent Indian in Warmley called Bollywood Spice that has a decent car park.

Shall we get a date sorted, then worry about location?

I could do one this week and at the end of the month if a date isn't forthcoming any time soon.
