Ladies and gents. After some collective knowledge if possible for a good friend. He has an early Manta with a VX redtop in it. It is mildly tuned with twin 45 Webers, Kent cam etc. He has had this on the road for a year/18 months or so since a ground up resto. He has twice had it allegedly worked on and "set up" by 2 local companies, and it appears that he has twice been wasting his time. I appreciate that carb gurus are now becoming thinner on the ground, but I'm looking for some advice to pass on from here from people who have had good real world honest results/work, not the "my mate's mate's cat's mother" stories.
He is a technophobe, and doesn't do forums very well, so here I am. The car is around the Southampton locale, and is currently driveable.
Many thanks in advance.

Slark race engineering in amesbury, Neil is brilliant, they specialise in minis but do other cars too. They carry loads of jets, and emulsion tubes etc for webbers as that's what's on my car

Yep, +1. Renowned old school genius, use him while you can, he's gotta retire soon!
