Camping near camber sands?

Myself and a few mates are looking to go down to Camber Sands on the Sunday of the forth coming bank holiday, we want to spend the day larking about on the beach and then camp over at a local site so we can have a drink and not worry about driving home!

Can anyone recommend a camping site that's within walking distance to the beach? It's in times like these that a bit of local knowledge is worth its weight in gold!

From memory I don't think there is anywhere to camp in Camber as I don't think they let you camp on the beach even tho you could probably get away with camping in the sandunes if your quiet enough. There is a Pontins and some B&B's in Camber but theres a good chance it will be busy as it's bank holiday.

There's a couple of caravan sites on the camber/lydd road. can't remember what they do though.
