Following on from my other thread, does anyone want a clio, could possibly be done up, the engine still runs and I managed to drive it a little after the AA dropped it off near my house. Might be good for spares or if someone has the time to do it up. If there are no takers Ill just scrap it.

Hey Pete, just finished work and seen this and the other thread. Very glad Mrs P101 is ok, please pass on my best to her. The general public never fail to disappoint me especially when a nice car is involved as me and you seem to discover far to often....

Sad end for the old girl, get the stereo out before you scrap her!

PS Home in three weeks!

It always amazes me how people can lurk for so long without saying a word, but as soon as there is a free car or they want a car to take their daughters, friends, cat to a prom! up they pipe.... rolleyes

Sorry, but I was only offering it to an established South coast member.

Take it to a scrap metal yard (not breakers), you may get a hundred or so.
Ok, thanks for the advice, thing is, I don't actually know what the difference is?

I got £200 for my E34 BMW 525 touring the other day - if scrap metal is going at £175 a tonne it's worth getting rid of that way. Just phone some local scrappies up and get some quotes to have it picked up. You will get more driving or towing into the place yourself, but more hassle. Breakers offered me £100 for it - and will make money selling the parts - scrap merchants will just crush it and for some reason seem to pay more! This is all new to me and was easy to sort.

Thanks, I'll give that a go. Got to wait to hear back from the police first. The barrier she crashed into has to be inspected, if that needs replacing it will be an insurance job and the car may need inspecting. Hopefully it won't.

Hiya P101,

I know we've never really spoken before (this reads like a school love note, doesn't it?) but i'd be interested if you sent a few more pictures smile

Thanks in advance

Ok, I'll see if I can take a few more, not sure if I am gonna give it away now though, not if I can get a 100 quid from a scarp yard, thats a tank of fuel!

Ill see what the scrap yards say.

No worries, my mate at work needed some tyres for hers so if you were gonna scrap it was wondering if you'd swap a couple of wheels for her but don't worry.
If it still drives you'll get a better price scrapping it if you can deliver it. Try the following places, Silverlake garage, Dase engineering I took my the donor car for my mg maestro turbo to Dase & got £115 for it four months ago.

It always amazes me how you can turn up to several meets even though you don't post on the forum much but someone who you've probably have met & spoken to can post a comment like that

I think FUD is the noise it made when hitting the barrier.
