Recommend me a custom glazier and carpenter for a door
Discussion
Hi,
We're after someone to replace 4 panes of thin leaded glass in a front door with some double glazed tough security glass. It also needs a new frame to be built as the old one let's in too much cold air.
It's an old house c. 1930's and has a wonderful thick wide solid wooden door so it would be a shame to replace it. It just needs new glass and a better sealed frame to keep the cold draughts out.
Would like a local guy that's used to custom stuff really. Local to Ringwood.
Thanks,
Dan

Hi Daniel
I saw your post and thought i'd reply as a friend of mine in Winchester runs his own joinery/carpentry business and his work is exceptional. He specialises in glazing (Normally custom wooden conservatories).
His name is Trevor and his mobile is 07766461746, If you say Wayne recommended him that would be appreciated.
Best Regards
Wayne

Thanks Wayne, will do.
Rubbish iPhone photo, but here's the door. As previously mentioned, it needs reglazing and a better frame made for it. The relative wanted to repalce it with a plastic door but I wouldn't allow it!! I insisted they kept the big solid door and just made it more secure and airtight.
