Took my dads VX220 out of hibernation today! (and mine)
Discussion
Thought you might like to see some photos I took today. Decided to get my dads car out of hibernation to give it a clean. Eddie saw how dirty it was after my dad was fixing his garage roof! It's been SORN for about 2 years due to time constraints but hoping to get it out back on the road soon.
Anyway, here are a few photos of mine and his car together out on the lawn...

Let me know what you think!

Speaking as a tubby owner also, same Coral Blue, I can't believe your Dad let you park that weedy Beemer next to his gorgeous VX.
Hey! I have more horsepower!
Maybe horsepower doesn't help when the car is as heavy as it is. Colin Chapman famously said that less is more. Or is that just what people say he said ?
Anyway, your Dad's car is the bees knees, yours as you have to admit, is just a production line motor.
Do I sound biased, only against cars that ain't what they purport to be.
Rant over, I don't really have an axe to grind, just having fun. It's a very nice car. (Do you cut hair by any chance 9 to 5 ?)

Having fun or not, I've just spent over £15,000 on a car, over twice as much as I've previously spent on a car. It's my pride and joy and is the result of many years of hard saving and sacrifice.Maybe horsepower doesn't help when the car is as heavy as it is. Colin Chapman famously said that less is more. I've had several VX220's myself, fantastic cars, but they don't make my car crap! Perhaps you don't realise just how good the M3 engine really is.
