I went through the tunnel a few Sundays ago when it was misty and foggy. Northbound the speed limit was 40 mph so I duly trundled along with the cruise control set at 44 or thereabouts. Numerous cars, some that I had earlier overtaken and some that joined the A3 just south of Hindhead, overtook be at what must have been 65 or 70. There were a few trundling along like me though.

And in August a colleague from overseas went through at what he reckons was 90+ and Avis never came after him.

So I wonder if they really work? I'm not about to test them - just curious if any PHers have heard anything or, shock horror, had anything in the post.

Where do you get Mk1 eyeballs that can see infra red? I'd like a set.
