Same as the old one really!
My previous DS3 Racing had a bit of a poor performance issue from day 1 and after a long game of allowing Citroen to try and fix it they finally came up with 'It needs a new engine' to which my reply was along the lines of 'The hell it will' and eventually after threatening to reject it and get my money back they replaced it with a brand new one.
So I pretty much wiped away 7,500 miles of motoring and now have a new registered one complete with 3 years free servicing.
However, if this one goes wrong there will be no more chances, I know of about 3 DS3R's waiting for new engines and I'm the second owner to reject it fully following it needing a new engine that I'm aware of.
Unfortunately the engines suffers from the same thing that affects most of the 1.6 THP Turbo engines fitted to Citroen, Peugeot and MINI. The timing chain tensioner either moves and knocks the timing out ready for self destruction or the PCV system allows too much oil back up in to the intake resulting in stuck valves and poor running.
It's a real shame because as a complete package, it's bloody brilliant! It's quick, handles well, very well equipped and still returns over 50MPG.
I have a nice new orange PH smiley on the way for the back, easy to spot!!
