I have had quite a few tuition sessions on various track days but thought it wouldn’t hurt to brush up my road driving skills once in a while.

Any recommendation?

Thanks.

When I first got the Cerb I had a day out with Ride Drive who iirc are mainly serving or ex police pursuit drivers. They teach you fast road driving. Not sure if thats what you are after but I thought it was brilliant. Really wakes you up and makes you more aware on the road. Much of it is the opposite to track driving.

The Ride Drive instructor I had was from Bexhill in Sussex and a very worthwhile day.

I did the Ride Drive performance car day a couple of years ago, my instructor was basd in Totton, Southampton. Very much enjoyed the day and learned some great road craft skills too.

The couple of hours spent on the airfield were interesting (Kemble Airfield), I had my 300C SRT8 at the time and it was pretty amazing that you could perform a sharp 90 degree turn from the taxiway on to the runway at 70MPH with perfect control, the instructor was quite impressed that a car that big could turn in so sharp at that speed without sliding couldn't say the same at 85MPH though, we left the runway at 85MPH on full lock!! eek

Thanks everyone; Ride Drive seems good, and reasonably priced too!

Another vote for Ride Drive smile I did a full day with them (with ex Class 1 driver) which was half a day advanced road driving and some time on a private testing ground learning limit handling. The whole day was fantastic, so much info and tuition packed in, the instructor brilliant and I learnt a huge amount.
