The A27 through Fareham

Beware all ye who travel the A27 through Fareham on the Western Way!

I've just returned from Goodwood Breakfast Club and the left hand lane on this section of road is now a BUS LANE from the flyover up to the Station Roundabout and just beyond, up The Avenue!!

Before I go completely off the rails it may well be on some sort of timed interlude but I doubt it. It will no doubt be for the, super duper, new Bus Service to Gosport and back, which is going to solve all of our traffic problems.

This road is manic enough at rush hour, I despair.

How am I supposed to drive all the way past the queue and cut in now? I guess I will just have to use the bus lane and risk a £30 ticket instead!!

Drove along it myself the road surface is shocking it makes no sense I wasn't sure what I was ment to do its badly thought out


hopefully it's an April fools joke

A quick search online found its only a 18month trial i think we can tell them now it's going to cause chaos for cars but may mean Mavis on the bus will get home a bit faster

It's made worse by drivers using right lane, and circling around the roundabout blocking Fareham traffic. Can't see it solving anything for cars, but great now for cycling down to Turk town.

The signs say it starts operation on the 22nd.
