Had a re-gas at Protyres in Hilsea, maybe too faraway though.

They had a promotion offering it for £25 as part of a service that week. Since i was having a tyre changed at the time they kindly gave me the same deal. Had 3 tyres changed there over the past 6 months plus full laser allignment - good service and nice guy at the desk

IIRC normal re-gas price is around £35/40

Be carefull, be afraid.

A lot of pleaces offering a regas just put in the areosols or don't know what the gas capacity is.

correct procedure for ANY car is to de gas, vacuum for at least 1/2 hr, add lube, then re gas with EXACTLY the right ammount of gas. Too little and it wont cool properly and too much the compressor will sieze up.

I have a guy who does it properly here for £60 - but Tunbridge Wells is probably a bit far for you!

I'll post if I find anything. I'm in Chichester and also looking for a re-gas as my beamer must have used it all up when I was using the air con to demist my windscreen during all the droughting we had.

I too live in Chichester.
I had the air-con in my Mercedes re-gassed last summer at Kwik Fit in St Pancras.
Yes I did. And they did a perfectly good job and it was very, very competitive on price.

100 % correct. There's know such thing as a top up. A/C servicing should only be carried out my qualified technicians. There is a huge fine for letting R134A into the atmosphere.
