My old girl was past it's service date,so decided to drop into the newly opened Porsche Centre.Always used Indies in the past but being so local i thought i would see what sort of welcome i would get.So with a rather, thanks to some of you guys stone chip 1999 996 C4 i dropped in.Very warm and friendly welcome, got taken on a tour of their facilities, introduced to all the various managers, coffee and biscuits always a plus, and sat down with their service advisor who explained the In's and outs of the service. All in all a enjoyable experience,so booked the car in.

Day of service, arrived slightly early, but met in car park with a friendly welcome and taken straight in with the offer of coffee, sat down with Rob "service advisor" to do the paper work and he explained no additional work would done on the car without contacting me first, which after the service their wasn't,just a couple of advisories which were all explained thoroughly.Plus i left with a very clean shiny car

Oh yes and i had a loan car for the day driving which is always a good excuse to drive our favorite roads,i chose the Boxster as i have never owned a soft top and was curious to see if i would enjoy the open top experience.Must say i was very impressed with the car, plus with the sports exhaust, noise from a Porsche, fantastic.

My experience was all good,so if you are wondering about the new Porsche Centre, pop in and have a chat and see how you feel.

I had a invite to their opening evening, I guess as I have previously been a customer at Ferndown.

Where is the new place at Pompey?

Remarkably there is no graffiti or vandalism there yet.

Ooh, what's on the roof?

Might swing by, just for a look next time I'm in the area... Literally cannot wait for the day I buy my first Porsche. Few years off yet though I dare say... frown

I popped in for a look a couple of weeks ago, staff were very friendly, and happy to let me have a nose around, looks very nice, theres even a first floor with cars on, couldnt get a great look at the roof, but its a great building!
