Evening all.

Taking the old man out tonight for a few ales and a bit of grub. Usually go to the crickiters in Eastleigh, but fancy a change of scenery at the last minute.

Any Reccomendations? With 15-20mins of Southampton airport area

White swan by riverside park? Nice outside area by the river.

Thanks Jon,

Didnt think of there. Ended up in the bridge at shawford. Service was awful and food was mediocre! So a good choice really. 😄

Yeah we went to the Bridge on Sunday.
The staff were variouslt dressed as a Christmas pudding, a turkey and Santa. They were pushing hard for Christmas bookings.

We had a turkey roast dinner, I'd say it was below average to poor. You'd have thought that they would have considered that prospective Christmas clients might be put off by the poor food and reacted accordingly... We won't be going back.

The white horse at the bottom of Otterbourne hill has a good reputation for food. If you're after a beer only pub, I don't think you can beat the Wellington Arms in Park Road, Southampton.

Have done the Whitehorse before. Food is good there, and the menu although small is well thought out. I seem to remember having black pudding fritters as a bar snack. Nom nom. The landlord is a nice guy too which helps IMO.
