New Lotus franchise opening in Hedge End

Went past Hedge End Lexus / Toyota and there was a Plus 2 outside with writing all over it announcing a Lotus dealership opening. Anyone know any more?

Yes the guy has posted on the Lotus Forums by all accounts a long time Lotus man and was instrumental in getting the franchise, nice to see that after all the faff of a high profile person at Lotus that Lotus are going forward and opening up more dealers although there is one in Poole.

Would hope that the costs are sensible and not traditional stealer rape - it takes a long time to find and trust someone with these sorts of cars...

I'm guessing those people who have bought the new models will welcome the new franchise, but for those of us with older Esprits etc we have already found a decent independant local specialist and on principal I would not pay main dealer rates which are probabably in the region of 3 times that of a good independant. Good luck to them though as it will give Lotus a bit more local exposure.
