Gas Warm Air Heating System
Discussion
Hi all,
I have a property in Poole that has am old warm air boiler and heating system.
I am looking for someone who can carry out safety checks and and repairs/maint that it would need from time to time.
Does anyone know of a reasonable firm/person that is able to do this?
By the looks of it, i cant use just any old Gas Safe firm, but one who is registered to work on these types of heating.
Thanks!

I have one of these systems too, can you PM me your mate's number as well please?
I've done a few basic repairs on it myself - the blower fan motor went a few years ago, so I managed to source a replacement generic unit and fit it to the fan unit myself.
Currently, I have British Gas come round and do an annual service, and despite it functioning well and the fact that I like it (and it's surprisingly cheap to run too) the British Gas engineers always tut and suck air in through their teeth in a theatrical, disapproving manner - saying 'ooh, this is very old, it could get dangerous, it's in-efficient...why not spend 10 grand with us upgrading to a full water boiler system?'
Err, becuase you're on a fat commission, there's nothing wrong with this one, and I like it, that's why.
I'd rather someone more local and knowledgeable serviced and looked after it.
Thanks.
